At Woodtek Energy Ltd we specialise in the design, supply, installation and servicing of biomass boilers and the design and production of axial flow heat exchangers and wood chip dryers. We are a family run business, that takes great pride in providing our customers with a service of the highest standard.
Our installation and servicing package is a complete, professional and specialist service. The package includes an initial site survey with a free, no obligation quote, the detailed design for each individual project, the supply, installation, commissioning and servicing of the boiler and heating system. Currently we specialise our installation works on poultry farm projects, however we can supply and install systems for many other commercial projects. We pride ourselves in our installation and servicing package and we believe our service is second to none.
We are the official UK distributor of the Lika Woodtek 200 Biomass boiler, efficient, affordable and reliable wood chip and wood shaving boiler. We designed and developed the boiler along side Lika-Svit, we also developed the automated control units with a local specialist company. The result is an efficient, robust and economic fully automated boiler and fuel feed system. The involvement we have had in the research and development of the boilers and the control units ensures a technical knowledge and after sales support which is second to none.
We are proud that over 50% of our products are manufactured in Wales.
With our key personnel we have many years’ experience installing, operating and maintaining biomass boilers and heating systems. We have put a great deal of effort into developing our product range and installation service and we are very proud of the service we can offer.
We also import and supply a range of biomass boiler heating system products. We are the official UK distributor for IMP Pumps in Wales and the West Midlands, and we supply an efficient, price competitive range of circulation pumps and systems. We also supply axial flow heat exchangers for use in poultry sheds. We offer all our products to the trade market at trade prices.
Lika Woodtek 200 Biomass Boiler
The Lika Woodtek 199kw biomass boiler has been jointly developed by Lika-Svit and Woodtek Energy. The driving force behind boiler was to manufacturer an affordable and reliable biomass boiler, which will give you years or stress free running. We decide the best way to achieve this goal was to manufacture the boiler using the proven and robust Lika-Svit heat exchanger and to then source all drives, components and electronics from well established UK companies. This has enabled us to draw on our supplier’s expertise whilst developing the boiler, keeping research and development costs very low and more importantly giving us easy access to parts and technical support moving forward.

Introduction
We at Woodtek Energy are proud to introduce our highly efficient wood chip drying system. Drawing on 30 years of experience in kiln drying timber, we have been able to design and develop one the most efficient and economic dryers on the market. The concept behind the design was to build a strong, reliable and low maintenance dryer that will provide years of trouble free service, maximising your return on investment.
The Working Principle
Fresh air is introduced into the front of the dryer where the dry wood chip exits. This air recovers heat from the dry wood chip prior to exit.
The air is then circulated continuously through the wood chip by six high performance centrifugal fans, as it passes along the length of the dryer.
Due to the full length heating elements, the air temperature continually rises as it passes through the dryer allowing it to absorb more and more moisture.
Before the saturated air is exhausted, it circulates through the fresh wood chip entering the dryer, recovering surplus heat. Controlling the temperature of the exhausted air allows us to optimise the efficiency of the dryer.
The Dual heat recovery process is the key to the incredible efficiency of the Woodtek Eco Dryer.
Drying Capacity
The overall drying capacity of the dryer is approx 10 tonne of dry wood chip per day. The high efficiency Woodtek Eco Dryer consumes approximately 200kwh of heat to dry one tonne of fresh wood chip down to a 25% – 30% moisture content.
Log Drying Conversion
With an alternative loading mechanism we are able to supply a log drying version.
