Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is a customer authorized electronic bank transaction/ payment from one bank account to another.

WHAT IS BIOHEAT?.....

New York State offers the use of BIOHEAT® fuel with a generous tax credit. Residents who use blends of B6 (6% biodiesel) or higher can claim a direct income tax credit of up to 20 cents for each and every gallon they buy - one cent for each percentage point of biodiesel in a gallon of their heating fuel. BIOHEAT® fuel heating oil blended with biodegradable organic materials such as soybean oil - is one of the "hottest" things happening in home comfort. Performance standards for BIOHEAT ® fuel blends to B20 have been approved by ASTM International, an organization which sets industry standards for fuels and lubricants. In October 2016, Mayor Bill de Blasio signed into law INT-642A , which raises the minimum biodiesel component of New York City's heating oil to 5%. This change went into effect on October 1, 2017. The B5 standard makes New York City a national leader in biofuel use for home heating. New York State encourages and will pay you to use BIOHEAT® fuel with a generous tax credit. BIOHEAT® fuel consumers who live in residential buildings, including single- and multi-family homes, apartment buildings, co-ops and condos are eligible to receive a New York State tax credit of up to 20 cents per gallon of BIOHEAT® fuel used, calculated at one cent per percentage of biodiesel in the blend, between B6 (6 percent biodiesel, or 6 cents per gallon) and B20 (20 percent biodiesel, or 20 cents per gallon). This means for every 1,000 gallons of B20 blend you use, you'll save $200. This tax credit has been in effect since 2012, and remains in effect through 2020. It may even be credited retroactively. To receive your tax credits, you must file NY State Form IT-241 along with your income tax return. Please consult with your accountant or tax professional.
