West Coast Energy is a Wales-based renewable energy developer and a part of the GDF SUEZ group.
From our award winning sustainable headquarters in Mold, we specialise in the identification and development of renewable energy projects, right the way through to their construction and long term operation.

West Coast Energy has been operating across the UK for over 18 years and was acquired by GDF SUEZ in March 2014. The company is now the principal renewables development business of GDF SUEZ in the UK and is presently involved in developing several hundred megawatts of renewable energy projects for our future electricity needs. Since it was established, West Coast Energy has been responsible for developing onshore and offshore wind farms in excess of 650MW, which are either operational or in construction.

The organisation believes that success in the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects is dependent on teamwork. That is the foundation on which the company has been built. Each valued member of the West Coast team contributes their unique set of skills, experience and expertise to ensuring that the organisation delivers projects that are financially and technically robust.

Our employees are highly skilled, some in specialist subjects, others as generalists. Whilst they work within functional teams they also regularly interact across functions to ensure that the organisation benefits from a holistic approach to our business.
