VISCOSITY OIL LABORATORY

Viscosity Oil’s full-service lab is fully equipped to help product development, customer technical support and competitive benchmarking for lubricants. In 2017 Viscosity began a multi-year expansion and upgrade process to transform the lab into an “Agricultural Competency Center”meeting world class standards.

The new and improved lab is outfitted with state of the art thermal analysis devices and the latest tribological test equipment, dedicated to hydraulic transmission fluid development for agricultural and other off-road equipment. In addition to the standard ASTM International test methods for heavy-duty engine oils, hydraulic fluids and gear oils, many proprietary OEM specific performance bench testing facilities are also available to support agricultural OEM product development.  Significant additional investments are in progress to expand the capabilities for friction and brake testing for next generation tractor hydraulic transmission fluid developments.  Viscosity Oil’s lab is acting as a satellite center for agricultural product development and is strongly supported by the new state of the art Research & Technology Center at Turin, Italy.
