Varberg Energi is an energy and IT group owned by the municipality of Varberg through Varbergs Stadshus AB. We currently have just over 120 employees and an annual turnover of almost 800 million. Our business areas are electricity, district heating, gas, energy optimization, broadband, internet services and energy solutions such as charging infrastructure and solar cell packages. Our concern for the environment involves investments in our own production of renewable energy. As an electricity supplier, we sell electricity to you under the name VIVA, which stands for wind, water and solar - three clean and renewable energy sources.

Since the start, we have expanded both with new business lines and with new employees. In 1987, we started building cable TV networks in Varberg and at about the same time we also started to expand the natural gas pipelines. In the early 90's, our district heating business started and we also built our first wind farm.
