Valley Energy has been talking energy for more than 50 years. Our founder, Walter Murphy, opened the doors to Capitol Fuel in the early 1960’s to provide coal to homeowners in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland. Capitol Fuel changed with the times and expanded operations, now operating as Valley Energy Company.  Valley Energy is still family run, owned and operated by Walter’s children and grandchildren out of our facility in Purcellville, Virginia. With more than 50 years of experience in the energy industry, Valley Energy has developed strong supply relationships with major energy companies. We’re known for our safety standards and state-of-the-art service and products.
