Since 2001, Utah Clean Energy has lead the transition to a new clean energy economy in Utah and the West with vision and expertise. Through advocacy, policy, and public outreach we tackle todays serious energy challenges with a toolbox of innovative solutions and workable strategies in four main areas:     Preventing Energy Waste & Reducing Pollution Through Energy Efficiency: 13The fastest and most affordable way to transition to a clean energy future is to reduce the amount of energy that is wasted. By increasing the energy efficiency of our homes, buildings, and vehicles, its easy to get more for less: more productivity, less wastefulness; more comfort, less compromise; more profit, less pollution. Oh, and lots of local jobs! Which is why Utah Clean Energy focuses on making it easier for Utah families to save money, and to start reaping the benefits of energy efficiency today.

Our History

In January 2001, a volunteer-based public interest group was formed (Utahns for an Energy Efficient Economy) to promote energy efficiency and clean energy technologies to the public and policy makers. During that year, Utahns for an Energy Efficiency Economy increased its involvement in utility regulatory proceedings that affected the deployment of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.In 2002, Utahns for an Energy Efficient Economy incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and changed its name to Utah Clean Energy. We broadened our outreach to the clean energy business community, local governments, congregations, and universities/colleges. Through advocacy, education, and diverse partnerships, Utah Clean Energy continues to advance renewable energy and energy efficiency in Utah and the Western Region. Today, Utah Clean Energy has become Utahs independent resource for clean energy policy, regulatory, and consumer information.
