Founded in 2009, Urban is a direct oil and gas investment manager focused on the upstream acquire and exploit strategy.  Through our funds, Urban acquires, manages, and optimizes producing oil and gas properties on behalf of institutional limited partners.  Our funds emphasize a focus on current income, preservation of capital, and long-term capital appreciation.  Urban is established as the leading middle market manager in the pure acquire and exploit strategy.  Through conviction of strategy and disciplined adaptability, Urban has performed in all cycles.

Urban pursues an active management strategy in an effort to optimize invested capital.  We are distinguished by the proven successful execution of the pure acquire and exploit strategy.  We identify acquisition targets, control costs, minimize risks, exploit development opportunities, and optimize the portfolio by strategically divesting assets when the market dictates.

Urban pursues a disciplined focus on middle-market acquisition targets located in the major onshore producing areas of the United States.  We seek opportunities that fit our operating profile, focusing on finding mature, high quality assets with strong development and operational improvement opportunities.  Urban is continuously connected to the market. We leverage our in-house research, industry relationships, and industry partners to identify and execute acquisition opportunities.

EXPLOIT & OPTIMIZE

Urban pursues strategies to fully exploit the assets in order to achieve the maximum return possible for our partners.  With a focus on maximizing production and identify future opportunities, we prudently manage capital programs appropriate for a given market environment, including drilling, workovers, chemical stimulation, fractionation, artificial lift, compression, and other economic recovery methods.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Urban executes a disciplined leverage program and a robust hedge portfolio.  Urbans proven management team has extensive experience in managing all financial aspects associated with operating oil and gas investments.  We continually evaluate our commercial arrangements and efficiently manage all back office responsibilities.
