At Tidewater Oil we sell #2 fuel oil, kerosene, diesel fuels, propane and staff a 24×7 service department. There is nothing special about the fuels we sell. They look, smell and burn just like our competitors. With a few exceptions we all get our fuel from the same terminal and we all pump the fuel into your tanks the same way.  So, if we all sell the same products does it really matter who you order from? Founded in 2006 by Matt Porter, Tidewater Oil has always sought to provide a level of service not found at other companies. As a child, Matt was exposed to his father’s fuel oil business. Tagging along on deliveries and service calls allowed Matt to witness day in and day out the commitment his father placed on always exceeding his customers’ expectations. He was also able to gain valuable knowledge from other members of his family who owned and operated their own businesses as well.  Those early lessons in how to do things right are the foundation upon which our company is built. Our employees understand that without your business, Tidewater Oil Company will cease to exist. We take the trust you place in us very seriously and are constantly looking for new ways to provide you with a better experience.  As we continue to grow, the services we add will be a direct result of our interactions with you. Case in point would be propane. Our propane division was officially launched in May of 2015 after receiving numerous requests to add that product line. What will be our next big adventure? Burner Service

Our service department is here to serve you every hour of everyday throughout the year. We take this responsibility very seriously and have hired technicians with the knowledge and tools necessary to address all of your heating needs. Our company will work with you on an as needed basis, or if you prefer we offer service plans designed to offer you year round peace of mind concerning your heating system.  In Maine, we do not have an option to skip winter! Because no one likes being cold or dealing with frozen pipes, we encourage each of you to have your heating system serviced annually. Our technicians are trained to clean, inspect and offer solutions that will ensure your heating system is running at its optimal efficiency throughout the year.  Annual maintenance is the best way to minimize the likelihood you will have a heating emergency. Unfortunately, heating emergencies will happen, and when they do we have you covered. Our staff and the folks who answer our after-hour calls know how important it is to respond quickly to heating emergencies. They will work with you to understand the issue and dispatch the appropriate technician(s). Once on-site we will evaluate the issue, explain the course of action needed to correct the situation, and complete the necessary repairs to bring your system back online.
