We’re more than a pipeline company. Approximately 7,300 people strong, TC Energy is a vital part of modern life. Thanks to a safe, stable network of natural gas and crude oil pipelines, along with nuclear power facilities, wherever life happens — we’re there.
A Leader in Responsible Energy Infrastructure
With one of North America’s largest energy infrastructure portfolios, no one powers day-to-day life like TC Energy. We share technical, stakeholder and operating expertise across all of our operations.
Sustainable development and long-term success
We might take it for granted, but affordable energy is essential to modern life. When we drive our kids to school, flick on the office lights or cook a meal after a day’s work, we depend on oil, natural gas and electricity. While we’re proud of the role we’ve played in empowering businesses and families for more than 65 years, we know demand for energy is increasing. It’s also becoming more complex. So, what are we doing? To meet demand for traditional fuels, we’re focused on projects such as Keystone XL. To address climate change and a lower carbon future, we’re developing cleaner energy sources including natural gas and nuclear. Our commitment to sustainable energy is unwavering. With our diverse portfolio of assets and projects, the table is set to safely deliver the affordable energy we all depend on, for many years to come.
Oil and Liquids Operations
Our existing oil & liquids pipeline infrastructure, approximately 4,900 km (3,000 miles), connects Alberta crude oil supplies to U.S. refining markets in Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas and the U.S. Gulf Coast. The Keystone Pipeline System, our largest liquids pipeline asset, moves approximately 20 per cent of western Canadian crude oil export to key refining markets. The Grand Rapids and Northern Courier pipelines, two intra-Alberta liquids pipelines, provide transportation solutions for producers in northern and western Athabasca regions. We remain committed to advancing our portfolio of commercially secured projects to connect growing Canadian and U.S. crude oil supply to key markets, maximizing the value from our existing assets, leveraging existing infrastructure and seeking new opportunities across the liquids pipelines value chain.
Power and Storage Operations
TC Energy’s portfolio of high-quality, long-life energy infrastructure assets now includes investments in six low-emission natural gas-fired power plants and the Bruce Power nuclear facility, resulting in a combined generating capacity of approximately 4,200 megawatts. Nearly half of the power we provide is generated from an emission-less nuclear power facility and we are leaders in the development and operation of high efficiency, natural gas-fired generating stations.
