Company History 

In 1958, Harry J. Tanner started a fuel distributorship known as H. J. Tanner. Mr. Tanner wanted to provide quality products and excellent service to his customers and was able to do this as the company continued to grow. In 1967, the company became incorporated and was joined by Jeremiah Rohr. Under their leadership Tanner provided fuel products to residential and commercial customers along with wholesale distribution of Gasoline, Fuel Oil, and Kerosene. Robert Rohr is the current president of the company and continues to strive toward excellence in customer satisfaction.  In 1996, the company began supplying propane to the local area and in a short period of time has become one of leading Propane distributers in Franklin County. Don Potteiger is our lead Propane service technician and his knowledge and experience are key to this departments success.  H. J. Tanner, Inc. acquired the local heating and air conditioning company - Home Comfort Services - in 1999. This addition has added more value to the services we can provide our customers. Along with providing top name brands such as Texaco, Carrier, Energy Kinetics, and Vanguard, our dedicated staff ensures that your experience with us is a pleasant one.  Although the company has grown and the name has changed (Tanner Home and Energy) - the care and the quality of service to our customers are still top priority.
