Stealth Oilfield Inspections Ltd. was formed and incorporated Sept 27, 2000 in Red Deer, Alberta, by Gerry Der and Dennis Costen. Having worked for Georay Inspections for 18 years, Gerry brought to the table a wealth of inspection knowledge and experience. Similarly, Dennis had worked for worked for Georay & Tuboscope for 2 1/2 years as well as working for CE Franklin for 20 years in management.  It was an awesome combination.  The company's first day of business was Nov 1, 2000 and has been going strong ever since. After the first two months of business, a second inspection truck was added along with another inspection operator. A third inspection truck quickly followed joining the other two by mid 2001. Within the first year of operation a total of three inspection trucks were operating and doing a variety of inspections for several service companies in Red Deer. At that time a total of 6 employees were employed by Stealth.  After continued growth and improvement in the next couple of years, the management at Stealth decided to diversify and offer wellhead tubing inspections. In August of 2004 Michael Walliser added his special expertise to the company by joining the owners, Gerry Der and Dennis Costen as a partner.  Michael had been in the oilfield industry for the previous 28 years – first with Franklin Supply for 14 years, then subsequently with Majestic Oil Tools, which was bought out by Smith International. This branch of the company began with only two wellhead inspection trucks, still based out of Red Deer.  Shortly thereafter, a shop in Drayton Valley was opened up with initially one, and then a second truck, servicing that area. A third wellhead tubing inspection truck was also added to the Red Deer branch to accommodate the growing demand for the services there. As of present, we operate a total of four wellhead tubing inspection trucks out of Red Deer, and two out of Drayton Valley.  The addition of the new owner, the new division and the new branch office greatly assisted in the growth of this young business. Stealth Oilfield Inspections  Both sides of the business continued to do well and, therefore, a decision was made to add a branch in Grande Prairie.  It seemed a prudent move as the demand grew to carry out inspections on drilling rigs in that area, along with requests from companies to perform inspections on their down hole tools and rental equipment.  With the challenge of finding qualified personnel, the continued partnership at Stealth made an agreement to purchase Enerspec Inspections Ltd, which had been owned and operated by Rush McEachern, in March of 2013.  As a result, we have three inspection trucks servicing the Grande Prairie, Alberta and NE British Columbia area along with those already present in Drayton Valley and Red Deer.  The company has grown now to where we have 26 employees and 14 inspection trucks. Many of our employees have multiple years of experience, totalling in excess of 130 years in the inspection business.  Having had a safety program in place from the beginning of our business Stealth is a very safety conscious company and we have held our COR Safety Certificate since 2001. We are also members of ISNetworld, Comply Works, and are on most major oil companies approved list.  Stealth Oilfield Inspections Ltd. is a member in good standing with IPIA (International Pipe Inspector's Association) and many of our employees have taken courses provided by them specializing in the oilfield industry.  From a small beginning, Stealth Oilfield Inspections Ltd. has grown to a company that performs inspections all over western Canada and it continues to flourish as a leader in both safety and high standards in the oilfield inspecting business.
