Company History

Star Petroleum has been in the Saegh family since 1937; we are now in our 81st year. Over the years, the company has grown in size and expanded its capabilities, but one thing has never changed: there has always been a Saegh at the helm. We’d like to share our story with you now…  In 1937, with one small truck and many big dreams, George and Theodore Saegh started Star Petroleum. The brothers can remember delivering oil to their residential customers for $.03 a gallon! Today, the company is managed by Theodore’s son and grandsons.  As a full service energy company, we know it’s our responsibility to provide you, our customers, with a quality product as well as service to back it all up. Anyone can sell you oil; it’s the service we provide at Star Petroleum that really makes a difference. We try to do everything possible to keep your heating system operating at peak efficiency and if you need a new part, or even an entire new system, we will repair or replace it. It’s not our only job to deliver oil. It is our job to help ensure that your family stays warm and comfortable every day of the year. We provide our customers with 24 hour service 365 days per year.  Star Petroleum Company, Inc., a company that started with one truck and a handful of employees, now operates a fleet of delivery and service trucks and serves thousands of homes in over 40 communities throughout southern Massachusetts.
