St. Pierre Oil Co., Inc. was started in the 1920s by Fred and Mary St. Pierre. During the 1950s the company was turned over to their two children Fred and Marge. Currently, the company is owned by Freds wife and their children and Marges grandchildren from her daughter Marie.  The location of the office has not changed since the company was started. One major advantage the company has over its competition is its BULK STORAGE FACILITY in Southbury. This facility has the capacity to store 300,000 gallons of oil along with 25,000 gallons of gas and 25,000 gallons of diesel fuel.

St. Pierre Oil Co., Inc. is a full service company distributing home heating oil, diesel fuel, gasoline, and propane. The company also performs installations of hot air furnaces, boilers, hot water heaters, radiant heat, new oil tanks, propane tanks and propane systems, and air conditioning systems. In addition, the company is capable of performing conversions from oil heat to liquid propane and vice versa. The company is fully insured and licensed.

Oil Purchase Plans

Since the days of stable oil prices are behind us, we are constantly trying to invent new ways for our employees and our customers to buy home heating oil economically.  Unfortunately, oil is now a commodity which means that it is traded on the commodities market and the prices change throughout the day, sometimes minute by minute.  Unfortunately, an oil delivery company such as St. Pierre Oil Co., Inc, has no control over the daily price of oil.  St. Pierre Oil Co., therefore, along with other oil companies, is at the mercy of the market just as you are.  Because oil prices change for reasons beyond our control and since oil prices are sensitive to world events, any Oil Purchase Plan that we might devise will not and cannot be the final answer to oil price volatility.  However, we have developed plans that if purchased at the right time might minimize the cost of heating your home.   If we apply Economics 101 (the theory of supply and demand) to the price of oil, one could surmise that the price of oil should be at its lowest when supply is at its highest and demand is at its lowest notwithstanding any global economic conditions that govern otherwise. Therefore, it should be safe to say that if the nations are at peace with one another, if the worlds economy is stable, and if the weather is calm, it would seem logical that the price of oil should be at its lowest during the summer months when demand is low and supplies are high.  Based on this logic, it seems plausible that households should consider an Oil Purchase Plan that locks in a price for the entire heating season during the summer months.  In the column to the left are plans for your review. We at St. Pierre Oil feel that if purchased during the summer months, these plans will minimize the cost of oil for the heating season.  All Oil Purchase Plans are based on your homes estimated annual consumption and are priced daily in accordance with the daily market price.  All Oil Purchase Plan agreements must be confirmed in writing.  For your protection, by Connecticut state law, all Oil Purchase Plans are protected by futures contracts that St. Pierre Oil Co. engages in with its suppliers or they are protected by stored bulk fuel in our Southbury fuel storage facility.

Oil,Gas,Diesel,AC

• Oil: Oil is and has been since the 1920s the mainstay of St. Pierre Oil Co., Inc. Unlike most oil companies that service the Litchfield County area, we have our own oil, gas, and diesel storage facility. Our storage facility puts us at an advantage over our competition for the following reason: chances are greater that we will have plenty of inventory when you need it versus those that dont have a fuel oil storage facility. For our oil customers, our storage capacity for home heating oil is over 300,000 gallons.

• Gas & Diesel: Gasoline and Diesel Fuel are provided by St. Pierre Oil Co. to commercial and farm accounts. Our storage capacity for gas and diesel is 25,000 gallons of each plus an additional capacity of 500 gallons each in separate above ground storage tanks.

• Air Conditioning: During the hot summer months, St. Pierre Oil Co can provide you with air conditioning systems and service for those systems to maintain a comfortable temperature in your home.

Propane 

St. Pierre Oil Company started its propane division in 2008. The company not only delivers propane to its customers, but it services and installs propane systems. Propane can be used for many purposes. Typically you might use it for the following purposes:

Ultraviolet-C (UVC) Light Technology

For over 100 years man has known that certain frequencies of light (254 NM-UV-C band) disrupts the DNA of potentially harmful and irritating micro organisms in the air and kills them. UV-C systems can be installed in your homes hot air furnace/central air conditioning systems to improve the quality of air in your home. If you suffer from allergies, a UV-C system can relieve much or all of your discomfort. In addition to that, the system will accomplish the following:

• Reduce mold and microbial growth inside the air handling system.
• Allow your hot air heating system and central air conditioning system to run cleaner and more efficient saving you energy and money.
  Sterilize (kill) airborne biological contaminants, viruses, bacteria, mold, and allergens as the air is circulated from your home to the air handling system (where it passes through the UV-C light) and then back to your home.
