At Smith-Bell Petroleum, we have had the pleasure of serving our customers for more than 75 years. Through countless world events, we have remained dedicated to providing a quality product with exceptional service.  Since the beginning, there have only been four principal owners of the company, all citizens of Gainesville, Georgia: Emerson Smith, A.W. Bell, John E. Mansfield, Sr. and John A. Nivens.  Established as a local Shell Oil petroleum distributorship in Hall County, Smith-Bells territory expanded over the years to serve clients throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina – offering numerous convenient store brands.  We strive to maintain a strong relationship with our customers. It is for this reason that Smith-Bell made the decision in 2016 to shift our focus from the large national brands to our local business partners. Today, in addition to operating as a bulk shipper on Colonial and Plantation Pipelines, Smith-Bells primary emphasis is on commercial fueling. Our partnership with Pacific Pride allows us to offer a fuel management solution designed to cut the total costs of fuel related operations for small and large businesses.  Smith-Bell remains at the cutting edge of the industry, offering services and products that keep pace with todays ever-evolving business environment.  Our number one priority has always been an excellent relationship with our customers. Pacific Pride is the most accurate control system and data management solution on the market.  As a Pacific Pride franchisee, we are in absolute control over the transaction processing at our location, and can guarantee a wide range of controls, including restricting purchases to specific grades of fuel.  Our extensive management reporting system will help you reduce typical accounting processes related to evaluating fueling activity and scheduling vehicle maintenance. 

Alternative Fuel Options

We are dedicated to offering a variety of fuel sources to our customers including environmentally friendly fuel alternatives. After conducting extensive research into alternative fuel options such as electric cars and compressed natural gas, we have entered into this market with propane. Propane, also known as auto gas, has been in worldwide use for vehicles for decades. It is domestically produced, well established, safe and clean burning both for the air and engines. It is the worlds third most common transportation fuel. We are proud to be a partner with AmeriGas to now offer this fuel option at our Pacific Pride location.
