Silvas Oil Company opened for business on March 11, 1977.  Operations began in Camarillo, CA with one bobtail tank truck. Chuck Silvas was the driver and salesman, while Tina managed the office administration.  Seven years later, Chuck befriended Mr. George Broughton. George was the Mobil Oil resale consignee in Oxnard, CA.  In April 1984, Silvas Oil purchased Mr. Broughton’s company and Chuck began operating his own bulk plant.  In the mid-80’s, Mobil Oil eliminated the resale consignee program and Silvas Oil became a contracted Mobil Oil Lubricants Distributor in 1986.  During the 1990’s, Silvas Oil augmented its growth by exploring several business opportunities.  These occurrences resulted in the purchase of nine petroleum distributors, an independent propane marketer, and strategic card-lock locations.  Today, Silvas Oil represents several major brands, including Mobil, Castrol, JAX Food Grade Lubricants and Peak Bluedef.  Our distribution network of (CFN) card-locks, warehouses, and bulk plant facilities are located in the Central Valley, Central Coast, and Southern California.  In order to properly serve our facilities and diverse customer base, Silvas Oil has amassed a large company owned delivery fleet of transports, bobtail tank trucks, and flatbeds. Yearly sales, including gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, chemicals, and technical services are in excess of $200 million dollars.  Despite the many challenges of operating a business, Silvas Oil plans on evaluating growth opportunities in the State of California.
