Select solar was established in 2001 and was purchased by Colin Howe during 2012. The previous owners were successful with building sales distribution outlets through four websites select solar, select solar gadgets selectsolarinstallations and the solar trader. They built up a large number of traders who sell our products and a wide network of clients.

Colin started off in finance and later followed an engineering path becoming a fully qualified electrician and later on a solar engineer. A few years back he got together with partners to discuss issues with climate change and rising fuel bills. We tried to assess the situation from the public’s point of view and decided that we wanted to do something that would make a difference.

Select Solar supplies and distributes solar panels and various types of equipment. We specialise in designing bespoke solar systems which include kits for motor homes, boats, caravans and any other remote locations where there are no mains electricity supply. We also have a retail outlet on select solar gadgets which show cases all our best solar powered toys and gadgets. This site is particularly useful for unique eco gifts with an emphasis on renewable power. It has 100’s of products ranging from mobile phone chargers, toys, educational kits, solar wind turbines through to garden lights. This is a fun site and usually has a product that will catch your eye.
