CM Tire Recycling Systems and Solutions

Located in Sarasota Florida, CM has been pioneering the development of tire recycling systems since 1982. CM was the first company to develop "turnkey" systems specifically designed for the reduction of scrap tires with the intent on creating valuable end products, commonly known today as tire derived materials.

Our in depth knowledge of markets for products derived from scrap tires has given us the leading edge in developing tire recycling systems that create value for our customers. Over the years we have work closely with our customers, leading industry professionals and numerous industry associates to assist in the development of innovative market driven solutions for tire derived materials.

As early as 1980 CM recognized the value of the "Holman Patent" a patented shredder knife system that created extremely close knife to knife tolerances. This system allowed processors to create high quality tire chips with very little exposed steel. This patent was purchased and coupled with an innovative, highly efficient, patented screening system, which together created a system that produced clean cut chips of consistent size. This innovative technology was incremental to the advancement of the tire derived fuel and tire derived aggregate markets. This concept has been expanded on throughout the years and numerous shredder models and knife designs such as the Multi- StackTM or Double StackTM are available for all applications and markets.

As markets for smaller materials grew CM developed its patented LiberatorTM. As its name denotes the CM Liberator is a highly advanced development in tire reduction and separation technology. As the industry was developing ways to create clean rubber, CM was designing a system to create clean steel. This philosophy greatly differed from most. However, CM engineers knew that if clean steel was produced it could be sold to steel mills creating an additional revenue steam thereby eliminating costly disposal fees. We also knew that if we could produce clean steel, then the byproduct, clean rubber, would also be of exceptional quality as well.

Introduced in 2002 the CM Liberator has lived up to its reputation, of liberating processors from the confines of the past. Not only, does it produce high quality steel at impressive production rates, the rubber produced by its unique pinching, ripping and tearing configuration produces an impressive distribution of rubber sizes. In many cases, processors have forgone the additional milling and grinding systems and instead, have installed additional screening and cleaning capabilities to take advantage of all product sizes produced. This allows them to produce products for all major markets for tire derived materials.

CM has installed over 215 tire recycling systems in 15 countries throughout the world. Our systems process in excess of 500 million tires per years.

CM The Leading Manufacturer of Tire Recycling Equipment Solutions for Profit and Planet

Building Turnkey Tire Recycling Equipment Solutions to Turn Old Tires into Profits
CM has been manufacturing tire shredders and tire processing equipment designed to process steel-belted passenger, and truck tires for the tire recycling industry since 1982. The CM complete line of tire shredding and steel liberation processing equipment offer turnkey solutions and are designed and manufactured at our Sarasota, FL plant to meet all your tire recycling needs. CM tire recycling equipment has become a recognized leader for the highest production, best tire chip quality, and lowest operating costs.

CM manufactures a complete line of Tire Shredding Systems. The CM Primary ShredderTM is equipped to shred whole passenger, truck, super single farm and OTR tires into clean-cut primary shreds. The CM Single SpeedTM and Dual Speed Tire ShreddersTM process both whole tires and primary shreds down to a one inch minus, clean-cut tire chip.

CM also manufactures two, tire wire liberation systems. Both the CM2R and CM4R LiberatorTM are designed to generate multiple revenue streams by liberating clean steel from tire rubber.

CM Tire Shredders feature a patented knife system manufactured for extremely close knife tolerances which result in tires being cut cleanly with a minimal amount of exposed wire. The Serrated Knife Design on both the CM2R LiberatorTM and CM4R LiberatorTM gives you increased linear inches of cutting area with a patented knife clamping system allowing the steel wire to separate from the rubber tires in the purest, cleanest form possible allowing tire processors to generate revenue from both clean rubber and steel tire wire.

CM Customer Service offers complete aftermarket solutions for parts, service and support. CM carries a complete line of OEM parts for all CM Shredders, CM2R and CM4R LiberatorsTM, CM ChipperTM and the CM ClassifierTM.

Complete Solutions for Tire Recycling

In 1982 CM introduced the first turn key system to process whole tires into clean cut consistently sized chips with very little wire protrusion. The systems ability to cut the steel reinforced wire cleanly and the systems ability to produce consistently sized chips allowed the product to be mixed with coal and other solid fuels. More importantly the chips could be metered and fed with existing material handling equipment, without clogging or jamming feed screws or rotary air locks. This innovation was largely responsible for the creation and growth of the tire derived fuel market that exists today.

Since that time, CM has developed and continues to develop numerous types and styles of tire recycling equipment, along with integrated processing systems. Over the years, CM has vertically integrated its product line, which includes the CM Liberator that liberates the steel from the rubber in an extremely clean manner. In addition, feed bins, magnetic separators, vibratory conveyors and clean wire separators can be added to create efficient processing systems that separate the rubber and steel fragments. Optional rubber screening and aspiration systems utilized for sizing and nylon fiber removal are also used to service a multitude of markets for tire rubber.

Today CM tire recycling equipment can be supplied separately or arranged in a multitude of designs to produce high quality, value added tire derived products that range from tire derived fuels, rubber mulch, playground materials, field turf, asphalt rubber and rubber for numerous molded rubber and industrial applications.
