ReWind Offshore AB is a project development company based in Karlstad. The company's business is to develop and sell ready-made permits for the construction of wind power in coastal sea and sea areas in Scandinavia.
The company's operations are further based on experience from the establishment of Vindpark Vänern with 10 3 MW WinWinD wind turbines in northern Vänern just outside Karlstad. Peab, which is one of the main owners in the company, was responsible for the contract for the construction of the foundation and erection of the plants in Vindpark Vänern.
ReWind Offshore's business concept is to develop wind farms together with local players and investors, with Vindpark Vänern as a model. In Vindpark Vänern, the wind turbines are owned by municipal energy and housing companies, cooperatives and local businesses. ReWind Offshore carries out projects to a large extent in collaboration with locally established companies. In May 2011, the project company ReWind Vänern submitted an application to build another wind farm in Lake Vänern at Stenkalle's site with 20 wind turbines (3-4.5 MW).
