History

R. T. Rogers Oil Company, Inc. was established in 1971 as an Esso Agent servicing Summers, Fayette, and Monroe counties selling lubricants, home heating oil, wholesale gasoline, tires, batteries, and accessories.  ​  In 1977, R. T. Rogers Oil Company, Inc. became an independent Corporation distributing Exxon branded gasoline and other petroleum products.    In 1990, R. T. Rogers Oil Company, Inc. added Citgo branded gasoline, allowing the Company to venture further into the convenience store business. The retail operations were incorporated in 1993 to enhance marketing as Pit Row Stores. HISTORY     In 1997, R. T. Rogers Oil Company, Inc. expanded into domestic and commercial propane sales and also entered into a distribution agreement with Blue Rhino Corporation for 20 lb. gas grill cylinder exchange in four states.  ​  Presently, R. T. Rogers Oil Company, Inc. has over 60 employees and utilizes Factor Computerized Accounting System. The Company distributes energy products in six states and is open to opportunities for further expansion as the market trends may indicate.

RETAIL FUEL PROGRAMS 

Branded, unbranded, and private label programs are available, with competitive credit card programs and point of purchase materials. We also assist in image design and other support programs. We supply the highest quality petroleum products available from independent and major refiners.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Our multiple bulk plant sites have inventories of all grades of gasoline, on road diesel, off road diesel, heating oil, dyed kerosene, clear kerosene, and propane. Tank wagon deliveries originate from bulk plants located in Alderson, Beckley, Hinton, Rupert, and Welch West Virginia. Transport deliveries from Virginia and West Virginia terminals.

Diesel exhaust fluid

Diesel exhaust fluid is one of the key elements of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) process used by most medium and heavy-duty engine builders to meet EPA 2010 regulations.    BlueDEF™ is a nontoxic solution of 67.5% purified water and 32.5% ultra pure automotive grade urea. BlueDEF™ is not a fuel or fuel additive. Instead, when injected into the exhaust stream and passed over a catalyst, BlueDEF helps convert NOx into nitrogen gas and water vapor – two harmless and natural components of the air we breathe.  ​  DEF is stored in a dedicated tank next to the fuel tank on the drivers side. The tanks range in size from 6 to 23 gallons depending on the trucks application. The DEF tank fill opening is designed to accommodate a DEF fill nozzle to ensure only DEF is put into the tank. A diesel fuel nozzle will not fit into the DEF tank opening.

Propane

Propane gas is one of the safest, cleanest and most reliable fuels available when handled properly. We have an ongoing Employee Training Program and provide customers with safety information on operating and maintaining gas heating systems and for handling of LP tanks of all sizes.  ​  Propane is non-toxic and will not create an environmental hazard if released. Propane is not a greenhouse gas and the level of damaging emissions following LP Gas combustion is far below any carbon based fuel available.
