Qnergy (q-ner–gy) provide reliable remote power in the 1-10kW range to help companies improve operational efficiency, decrease cost and reduce emissions.  Qnergy’s team is comprised of experts who have dedicated their careers to the development of reliable engines. The team developed a state of the art free-piston Stirling engine. The technology was recently recognized by NASA (LINK) as the most reliable heat engine technology ‘in history’. Qnergy’s engine can use any heat source. The typical fuels are natural gas, propane and biogas.   While the Stirling concept is known for about two centuries, Qnergy is the only company that has a Stirling-based, stand-alone power generator: the PowerGen. Qnergy introduced the PowerGen line in the summer of 2017,  with a pilot ‘try and buy’ program. By the fall, all pilot customers bought the system. Fast forward to today, many Fortune 500 gas companies rely on Qnergy to meet their remote power needs.  Qnergy’s newest program is CAP (Compressed Air Pneumatics). CAP helps gas companies eliminate methane emission from pneumatic devices. CAP3, using compressed air, is now being deployed. CAP1 – using electrical actuators, will be deployed in Fall 2019. The annual U.S. emission reduction potential of CAP is about 40 million tons of CO2- e. Equivalent to taking 9.5 million cars off the road.

We achieve these objectives by utilizing continuous improvement and strict adherence to standards throughout all levels of our organization. Our Facility

The Qnergy manufacturing facility is equipped for high volume manufacturing of engines and systems in over 60,000 square feet. This dedicated production line is a fully operational, semi-automated assembly line utilizing the latest production equipment. Following rigorous and stringent quality and safety standards, our team is able to produce, test and deliver our various products on time.

Reliability

Qnergy’s legacy is based on decades of experience providing high-reliability, no-maintenance, long-life missions including both terrestrial and deep space remote power generation platforms.  Reliability is deeply ingrained within Qnergy’s culture.  Qnergy chooses to provide high-performing products to our customers by designing our products with test. Design “with test” means designing our products to stringent reliability targets and then “proving” this reliability by testing and intentionally failing parts within extreme, harsh operating parameters.  Tests to failure show us exactly where the margins are, establishes the validity of our products within their specified operating envelope, and helps speed up product improvement cycles. Here at the Qnergy Manufacturing site, as well as at our field test sites, Qnergy uses long-life product “success” testing to show that we know and expect reliability. With millions of total hardware operating hours Qnergy continues to demonstrate its capacity to design and manufacture product to the most stringent of reliability requirements.
