Purnell Energy Services Ltd. (PES) is an Oilfield Service company providing construction services for producing companies with assets in both upstream and midstream sectors of the industry throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.  Purnell Energy Services Ltd. (PES) supplies the necessary talent and equipment to build well site facilities, the pipelines associated with these facilities and the oil batteries and compressor stations associated with the gathering system. PES also has the expertise and knowledge to assist the producing companies in the operation and maintenance of these facilities and pipelines.

Our Team

Owner and Director Nathan Purnell has established his career in the Oil and Gas Industry over the last 20 years and has worked both provincially in Alberta/Saskatchewan and internationally.  Nathan and his team of professionals maintain a solid reputation of providing exceptional skill and knowledge throughout the construction of pipelines and facilities and have a sound understanding of the codes and practices associated with the energy sector.  The incorporation of their backgrounds, training and knowledge of the industry from the ground up provides customers with the satisfaction of a job completed safely and efficiently.

Our Facility

PES is located in Grande Prairie’s Brochu Industrial Area at 10502 – 123 Street. From this facility we are able to fabricate and hydro test piping systems indoors, facilitate large modular projects and complete x-ray and inspection. We are centrally located to most of the major supply companies in Grande Prairie.

To achieve this goal we will comply with all applicable municipal, provincial and federal legislation.  Management, supervisors, workers and contractors are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety initiatives outlined in our program. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day, in every job is essential for the health and safety excellence the company expects.  Purnell Energy Services feels it is the right of the workers to work in a safe and healthy work environment. To achieve this, management supports active involvement by all employees in our safety program and will work with them to ensure that proper training, work procedures and equipment are provided as required.  Our goal is to sustain an injury free work environment. This can be accomplished by obeying all safety rules, following recommended work procedures, using personal protective equipment when required, taking necessary training programs, communicating all unsafe work conditions to management immediately, and continuously supporting the company health and safety program.  The policy and procedures contained in our health and safety manual shall be considered the minimum for safety. Legislation shall have precedence over any representation in our safety program, safe work practices and job procedures. It is each and every employee’s responsibility to ensure that they are familiar with, and follow applicable legislation and standards as it applies to them, the workplace and the company.
