Here at Bigminni, we are incredibly proud of the excellent service we have been providing the Hollywood area since 1984.  We expanded in 1991 to start providing a propane filling service for the area. For the past 23 years, we have been providing propane services to all manner of businesses such as roofers, welders, food trucks and restaurants; all the while keeping the local residents in good supply for their BBQ and camping needs.  We are also more than a little bit proud of our facilities. We are located in one of the oldest buildings in the city of Hollywood, Fl. Our drive-thru is unique in the area as there are only a few left. We have a double-sided drive-thru convenience store where most stores are now walk-ins. Bigminni has a well-stocked range of convenience store grocery items with the added bonus of a drive-thru.  When hurricanes hit south Florida, we have been a consistent and reliable source of propane to our community. We have braved through Andrew, Katrina and Wilma to ensure that we were there to provide our services to the area.  This year is our 30th anniversary of faithfully serving the community here and we feel privileged to be a part of this wonderful town. Why Refill your BBQ Tank?

• We all love to grill, there’s nothing quite like firing up the BBQ when family and friends are around. There’s nothing worse than setting up the BBQ and suddenly realizing you need a BBQ tank refill. Half cooked steak isn’t exactly the most appealing dish to serve.
• Now, you’ve got two choices. You can either opt for a refill or exchange. You might think there’s not much between the two options, but there definitely is.
• If you go for the exchange, did you realize that you don’t get a full tank in return and you pay more for it!
• At present a propane refill in Hollywood is $18 to $20 for 20lbs of gas. If you exchange, you receive only 15lbs of gas and it can cost $23. That’s 25% less propane for more money. Do it four times and that’s a whole tank of propane you’ve lost out on and it’s cost you $20 extra – another refill!
• The other problem with the exchange service is you lose out on any gas left in your current tank. Most of us don’t completely empty our BBQ tanks. We know our tank is getting low and rather than getting caught out mid-cook, we look to top up our levels. Now, if you go for a refill, you keep all that propane left in your tank. If you exchange, it’s gone. It may not seem a lot, but after two or three times, it starts to add up. I’ve seen some Pembroke Pines propane customers exchange with as much as a fifth of a tank still left.

If you live in California and Texas then you’ve no doubt heard of the huge uptake of propane fuelled cars and conversions; but you might not know why so many fleets, government departments and individuals have opted for propane over traditional fuels.  While popular for many years in Europe, the US is now rapidly catching up. • Safety- Propane fuelled vehicles have an excellent safety record. This is due to the construction of the propane tank being much thicker and the fuel system having safety shut off and a safety vent system.
