The Bio-QZ: higher gas yields from correct substrate preparation

The advance preparation of the matter to be introduced is increasingly important to achieving a stable process biology in the fermenter. If biomass is pre-treated correctly, it can be broken down more quickly and efficiently in the fermenter. The plant runs more stably and the fermentation time is reduced and the gas yield of the plant is increased.

The Bio-QZ was designed to carry out this pre-treatment. The functional principle is modelled on nature. Like cattle chewing the cud, the Bio-QZ grinds down the input materials instead of cutting them up.

Rotating chains in the machine break down the cellular structure in seconds, producing a homogeneous substrate with a large surface area; this increases the working surface for the bacteria. The prepared substrate is ready for the strains of bacteria to digest and they can now begin their decomposition process in the fermenter quickly and effectively.

Product Support

Product support and backup is a key requirement in any business partnership. PRM Waste Systems Ltd offers a range of packages, which can be tailored to meet specific needs or requirements.

In order for any machine to keep working at its optimum efficiency we would recommend that a service contract be taken out with our company. The basic contract allows for three equally spaced visits per year at which time a complete and thorough service would be undertaken by one of our own fully trained service Engineers. A signed copy of his/her report sheet will be left at the completion of each service. The contracts are based on a charge, which would be invoiced to you at the conclusion of each visit.

Emergency Call Out

It is impossible to guarantee 100% reliability for any equipment. To this end, PRM Waste Systems Ltd provide a 24-hour breakdown service. Our Nationally based engineers would provide local service. We would expect all callouts to be attended to within 24 hours, subject to site access restrictions.
