Preem conducts extensive refining of crude oil and sales of petroleum products to oil companies operating in Sweden and on the international market, primarily in northwestern Europe.

Preem is Sweden's largest fuel company and accounts for 80 percent of the Swedish refinery capacity and 30 percent of the Nordic. Our two refineries in Gothenburg and Lysekil are among the most modern and environmentally friendly in Europe. In total, they have a refining capacity of over 18 million cubic meters of crude oil per year and about two thirds of the production is exported. This means that Preem is also one of Sweden's largest export companies.

The sale of petrol, diesel, fuel oils and lubricating oils on the Swedish market takes place via its own marketing channels, certified dealers and fuel stations. Preem has a nationwide station network with approximately 520 service stations for private and commercial traffic. About 170 of these are Såifanläggningar that are adapted specifically for heavy traffic.
