Since its founding in 1948, Ports Petroleum Company, Inc. has been family owned with its Corporate Office in Wooster, OH. Ports Petroleum is an independent wholesaler and transporter of petroleum products and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). We maintain supply and distribution agreements with many major oil refiners throughout the United States to provide fuel for a variety of consumers. We operate across town for local farmers and nationwide for independent gas stations, government entities, truck stops and convenience stores. Ports Petroleum Company, Inc. also owns and operates unbranded retail fuel and convenience stores in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and South Dakota.

Biodiesel
Biodiesel is a renewable fuel for diesel engines derived from natural oils which meets specifications of ASTM D 6751. Biodiesel can be used in any concentration with petroleum based diesel fuel in existing diesel engines with little or no modification. Biodiesel is not the same as raw vegetable oil; it is produced by a chemical process which removes the glycerin from the oil. We can customize biodiesel to create a specific blend for your needs.

Diesel Exhaust Fluid

Ports Petroleum has been supplying its customers with diesel exhaust fluid since the product was introduced to the North American market in 2010. Our experience and relationships in the industry have provided us an opportunity to start manufacturing our own branded DEF under the ArmorBlue name.We are excited to introduce ArmorBlue, which is a 32.5% urea solution. It is manufactured to ISO 22241 specifications and is API certified. ArmorBlue is compatible with Tier 4 final compliant equipment using Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. ArmorBlue is packaged in a variety of sizes including; 2.5 gallon containers, 55 gallon drums, and 275 and 330 gallon totes.

Transportation and Logistics

Transportation
Ports Petroleum created the transportation division to better serve our customers. We have over 50 trucks strategically positioned throughout Ohio and in Western Pennsylvania. We also have designated Diesel Exhaust Fluid transport trucks located throughout Ohio and in Mississippi.

Local Deliveries
We have single axle tankwagon trucks to service our local farmers and supply home heat throughout Wayne and surrounding counties.
