Pioneer Oil, LLC is a privately held company headquartered in Billings, Montana offering a wide range of petroleum products and supporting services to our customers worldwide.

• Petroleum Products - We purchase and market petroleum products including paving asphalt, fuel oil, bunker fuel, roofing asphalt, diesel and various petroleum products. We deliver the products through our fleet of efficiently managed railcars.

• Oil Field Products – We market high quality ceramic proppants out of Asia and offer comprehensive services to our Customers with our own in-house logistics team. Through our own facilities and with relationships at various strategic locations, we deliver our products in an efficient and reliable manner.

• Laboratory Services/Technical Support – We offer complete state-of-the-art asphalt testing and technical support services for refineries, state agencies, construction companies and other customers.

• Terminal Design and Management Services - We perform terminal design and management services to refineries, construction companies and asphalt terminal operators.

Oil field Products

Through a joint venture agreement with TradeGroup Asia Limited, Pioneer now has direct access to multiple proppant manufacturing facilities in Asia. This relationship allows us to enforce a strict QA/QC policy on our suppliers as well as manage our own inventory from the factory to the oil field. Pioneer’s role in the JV will be to provide marketing and logistic support to move product into the U.S. oil fields.

Petroleum

Using our large network of suppliers, we provide our customers with the highest quality petroleum products at competitive rates. Our fleet of railcars coupled with barge and truck capabilities, allow for cost efficient deliveries across North America.

Laboratary Services

Our AMRL/AASHTO R18 accredited laboratory offers complete state-of-the-art asphalt testing and formulation services for refineries, state agencies, and contractors. Our highly trained, Asphalt Institute certified technicians can help you with all of your SHRP testing needs including third party dispute testing and daily or weekly QC testing. We also perform many SHRP plus tests such as Direct Tension, MSCR, and Toughness and Tenacity tests. In addition to asphalt testing, we can assist you in laboratory setup and training, and the creation of a full QA/QC program. Pioneer can also create and/or optimize asphalt blends that meet state and local specifications and reduce cost.
