History

1969 PetroChoice was founded as Tri-County Petroleum, Inc. (“TCP”) in 1969, initially operating as a heating oil company.  1976 TCP began its focus on commercial and industrial lubricant products and developed the mini-bulk distribution method, an important part of the company’s solutions offering. The Riddlesburg, PA distribution facility was built in 1977 and housed TCP’s headquarters.  1993 PetroChoice and ExxonMobil formed a strategic alliance and PetroChoice received the ExxonMobil Area of Best Efforts designation in the Mid-Atlantic region. Between1995 and 2004, PetroChoice made seven acquisitions in the Mid-Atlantic Region, including six ExxonMobil distributors and one ConocoPhillips distributor.  The acquisitions were made to consolidate the highly fragmented service area of legacy TCP.  2009 The company continued its expansion with the acquisition of Loos & Dilworth in 2009, providing a strong foundation for the PVL business in the Mid-Atlantic. The company changed its name to PetroChoice and introduced the “Choice” private label brand.  2011 PetroChoice acquired Anderson Lubricants and Rapids Hydraulics, expanding the company’s reach into the Midwest C&I market.  2012 The company completed the acquisitions of Lorenz Lubricants, Suburban Oil, Best Oil, and Craft Oil Corporation.  2013 PetroChoice completed two separate acquisitions to purchase the assets of US Lubes (North and South).   The company also opened a new greenfield branch in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  2014: PetroChoice acquired LubriCorp bringing on 3 new branches in Tennessee.   The company also opened a greenfield location in Bridgeport, Ohio to better service the Marcellus and Utica Shale basins.   To wrap up the year, the company acquired PetroLiance, which brought 10 new locations on board.  2015: To increase market share in Philadelphia, PetroChoice acquired Yankee Point Lubricants. The was followed by the purchase of Badger Lubricants in Milwaukee, WI.  2016: The company purchase Universal Lubricants based in Wichita, KS. This acquisition added multiple locations and also added blending capability to the company. PetroChoice subsequently purchased Hagan Kennington Oil and Rex Oil to boost its presence in the Carolinas.  2017: In January, 2017, PetroChoice purchased Miller Industrial Fluids in Indianapolis, IN.  Today PetroChoice has 51 locations that service 32 states. Going forward, PetroChoice’s strategy is to continue to grow, both organically as well as by completing additional acquisitions.

We partner with a network of jobbers and re-sellers from coast-to-coast, as well as in Alaska and Hawaii. The Best Equipment Available 

We carry a wide variety of equipment for sale and in some instances, such as bulk oil tanks, for loan to our customers. PetroChoice can conveniently provide everything from hoses, reels, used oil heaters and furnaces, auto lifts, auto lube systems,  to filter carts, vacuum dehydrators and other contamination control equipment.
