Northland Power is a Canadian company with over 25 years’ experience developing, owning and operating facilities that produce and sell clean and green energy. Northland is an independent power producer founded in 1987, and publicly traded since 1997. Northland develops, finances, builds, owns and operates facilities that produce 'clean' (natural gas) and 'green' (biomass, wind and solar) energy, providing sustainable long-term value to shareholders, stakeholders, and host communities. The company owns or has a net economic interest in over 1,300 MW of operating generating capacity and will be adding over $6 billion of projects currently in construction, including a 60% equity stake in Gemini, a 600 MW offshore wind project, and an 85% equity stake in Nordsee One, a 332 MW offshore wind project, both located in the North Sea. Northland's cash flows are diversified over four geographically separate regions and regulatory jurisdictions in Canada and Europe. Our facilities produce electricity from clean-burning natural gas and renewable resources such as wind, solar and biomass. We have a long track record of over 28 years in business.Established in 1987, we were one of Canada's first independent power producers. Since then, we have achieved a remarkable growth trajectory, currently operating facilities that generate 1,394 MW of electricity, with an additional 932 MW (642 MW net to Northland) of generating capacity under construction. Our operations and cash flows are diversified over four geographically separate regions and regulatory jurisdictions in Canada and Europe.
