Natural Resource Partners L.P. is a diversified natural resource company that owns interests in coal, aggregates and industrial minerals across the United States. A large percentage of NRP’s revenues are generated from royalties and other passive income. In addition, NRP owns an equity investment in Ciner Wyoming, a trona/soda ash operation and owns VantaCore, a construction aggregates business, making NRP one of the top 25 aggregates producers in the United States.Natural Resource Partners L.P. (NRP) is a master limited partnership that is principally engaged in the business of owning and managing mineral reserve properties. NRP primarily owns coal, aggregate and oil and gas reserves across the United States that generate royalty income for the partnership. The partnership does not actively engage in the mining of any of its minerals or natural resources, but rather leases its properties to various operators in exchange for royalty payments.We own or lease aggregates and industrial mineral reserves in a number of states. The aggregates are used in the construction of most of the country’s infrastructure, including residential, commercial, and public works projects. The minerals are mined and processed for a range of industrial and commercial applications.Our coal reserves are located in Appalachia, the Illinois Basin, the Western United States, and the Gulf Coast region. We do not operate any coal mines, but we lease our reserves to experienced mine operators under long-term contracts. We also own and manage coal transportation and processing assets.Ciner is the world’s fifth-largest producer of soda ash, which is used in a variety of consumer goods, including glass, chemicals, soap, and paper. All soda ash produced at the site is sold through an Ciner-affiliated sales agent to domestic and European customers and to American Natural Soda Ash Corp. for export.Natural Resource Partners is the managing and controlling partner of BRP, our joint venture with International Paper. BRP owns more than 10 million mineral acres, which includes oil and gas, coal, and aggregate reserves as well as coal bed methane, geothermal, and CO² sequestration rights.
