Mid America originated in 1956 by my grandfather John and father Fred as a part time water well drilling business. Drilling water wells around western Iowa helped subsidize the family farm. The first year, the new business drilled 50+ wells. It has grown from there to include 2 more generations, myself Fred and brothers John and Paul, and our sons Grant, Wesley, Andy and Cale. Our company employs over 20 people and diversified to include geothermal drilling, caisson foundation drilling, cell tower bases, elevator shafts, and any specialty drilling required by our customers. We actively work in Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, South Dakota, North Dakota and Illinois. Our goal and motto "a good job at a fair price" has allowed us to achieve 55 years of continuity and service to our valued customers.
