Construction Services

MDU Construction Services Group, Inc. provides utility construction services specializing in constructing and maintaining electric and communications lines, gas pipelines, fire suppression systems, and external lighting and traffic signalization equipment. This segment also provides expertise in utility excavation and inside electrical and mechanical services, and manufactures and distributes transmission line construction equipment and supplies.

Electric and Natural Gas Utilities

Our utility companies serve more than 1.1 million customers across eight states. Cascade Natural Gas Corporation distributes natural gas in Oregon and Washington. Great Plains Natural Gas Co. distributes natural gas in western Minnesota and southeastern North Dakota. Intermountain Gas Company distributes natural gas in southern Idaho. Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. generates, transmits and distributes electricity and distributes natural gas in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. These operations also supply related value-added services.
