W.H. McNeill, Sr., began working in the oil business in the early 1920s.  He unloaded the first tank carload of Pure Gasoline delivered to North Carolina while employed by Biscoe Oil Company.  He later went into business for himself and started what is today the family business of McNeill Oil & Propane and the convenience store operating company, Southern Sales of Aberdeen that does business as Macs Food Stores.     Frank McNeill, Sr. Joined the Company in 1952 and is currently Chairman of the Board.  Frank McNeill, Jr. started working full time after college in 1978.  Frank is currently president of McNeill Oil and Macs Food Stores.  Davis Clark Joined the company in 1990 and is currently Vice President of McNeill Oil and Macs Food Stores. Robert Mashburn joined the company in 2005 to head up the propane division of the company.  We have an exceptional and dedicated group of employees serving residential, commercial, and agricultural customers throughout Moore County, Hoke County, and the surrounding areas.     We supply Exxon, BP, and Pure Gasoline to our five Mas Food Stores locations as well as other dealer accounts. Macs Food Stores received the L.W. Locke Retailer of the Year from the North Carolina Association of Convenience Stores in 2006. McNeill Oil Company received the Don M. Ward Industry Excellence Cup by North Carolina Petroleum and Convenience Marketers in 2009.

Our sales department specializes in propane and natural gas appliances such as gas fireplaces, tank-less water heaters, and space heaters. We install and service all items that we sell and offer a fully trained service staff.     Our customers are the reason that we exist.  We offer automatic delivery service to all of our propane customers who qualify and guarantee prompt response 24 hours a day 7 days a week if they ever run out of propane.
