Lynch Energy, Inc. was founded in 1923 when Joseph Charles Lynch moved out West to start a home heating oil company named J.C. Lynch & Sons. He drove an iconic home heating oil delivery truck to service customers throughout the Magic Valley. ​ Joseph’s son, James Lynch, joined his father after serving in the Navy during WWII. James transformed the company into a wholesale gasoline/diesel supplier, as well as adding numerous convenience stores and car washes to the business in the 60s and 70s. ​ 3rd generation owner, James Lynch Jr., came home to help his father grow the business after receiving his doctorate degree in economics at the University of Utah. Jim Jr. led Lynch Energy in the 80s and began expanding operations outside of the Magic Valley. He continues to serve the company today. ​ 4th generation owners, Scott and Nick Lynch, moved back home to Idaho after graduating from college to further expand their family business. Lynch Energy and Mr. Gas currently cover the entire Northwest and supply professional over the road drivers, farmers, dairies and everyone in-between with top quality fuel and hospitality that makes everyone feel like a friend.
