Luebbering Oil Company, Inc. was purchased from Suthoff Oil Company in 1974, as a standard oil jobber. Eventually, Luebbering Oil would become a Phillips Petroleum jobber. In 1985, Luebbering Oil expanded its business by purchasing Bonnots Mill Oil Company in Loose Creek, MO—and in 1989, purchased the Meta Oil Company in Meta, MO. The company expanded again in 2013 when they purchased the tank truck business and card system of Mertens Oil Company. The three companies were merged into one company—Luebbering Oil Company, Inc. Larry Luebbering, and his wife, Mary Jane, were the sole owners of Luebbering Oil Company, Inc. through the 70s and 80s—until their sons, Bryan and Brad Luebbering, joined the family business in the 90s, as partners.

In 1981, Luebbering Oil purchased Midway 66, located in New Bloomfield, MO. The company then built Luebberings 66 in Holts Summit, MO, in 1987. A few years later, they purchased Luebberings 66 in Cedar City, MO, which was unfortunately demolished in the flood of 1993.
