 Lovelace Gas Service, Inc. is your Central Florida source for propane gas. A Brief Story

When Muril and Florence Lovelace moved to Orlando from Duggar, Indiana, Highway 50 was a gravel paved road. Muril worked as a butcher and Florence as a cashier for Winn-Dixie down-town. In the late 1950s, they began selling mobile homes on the side and eventually started selling propane to the growing population in Central Florida. Their son, Bill, operated a machine shop in the early 1960s on the same property building components for the aerospace industry. As the Central Florida population continued to grow through the 1960s, Bill joined up with his parents and as a family they focused their efforts to expanding the propane business.  Bills growing family, including his sons, son-in-law and the fourth generation all enjoy continuing the family tradition of servicing the Central Florida community with propane energy solutions.

• When Muril Lovelace started the gas business, propane companies used to differentiate their tanks from each other with different colored lids. Our silver tanks with orange lids continue that tradition, so look around your neighborhood to see if you spot one!
• One of the highest tributes paid to the modern gas water heater is the fact that the heaters are seldom noticed. Month after month, millions of gas water heaters deliver hundreds of gallons of waters at the temperatures set on their thermostat dials. While there is still a place for the traditional tank type of water heater, new technology has advanced water heating with tankless units and hybrids. These new heaters provide continuous hot water and only use propane gas on demand, which gives users energy savings of 30-45% and space savings compared to traditional tank type heaters.
