For more than fifty years, Kansas City’s Pete Franklin had sold automobiles with the goal of helping people find the vehicle of their dreams. These automobiles were reliable, long-lasting, and could be counted on for many years after their initial purchase. It wasn’t until Pete decided to install solar panels on his business’s roof in 2014 that he made a connection between the two fields; “I couldn’t believe I didn’t do this sooner than I did,” he said. “There’s absolutely no reason I can think of as to why people shouldn’t have solar.” Just like a sturdy truck or a dependable SUV, solar units had become a cost-effective investment for the future that were too good to turn down.   Once he’d experienced the monthly savings that solar energy could bring to his business, Pete knew it was time to spread his wings and leave his long-time automobile business behind. While the life of selling automobiles was one he lived with passion, he’d decided that the beautiful world of solar energy was where he now needed to be. Years later, Pete and his solar team are serving the Kansas City metropolitan area with the same level of dedication he was known for in the automobile industry.  Once helping the people of Kansas with their vehicles, now with solar energy, Kansas City knows Pete Franklin.
