Jennings Oil and Propane is a locally owned and operated business headquartered in Danbury, CT, that has provided home comfort to families in Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven counties since 1982.  Throughout the years we have built an organization that goes the extra mile to take care of all of your fuel delivery and heating and cooling needs, including new equipment installations, repairs, maintenance plans, and 24-hour heating emergency service.

Our History

• Alfred’s great-grandfather, Charles Darling Parks, served as president of the Star Oil Company of Danbury, beginning in 1923. Alfred would eventually assume leadership of that company in the 1970s.
• Alfred’s grandfather, Alfred Higson, founded the Higson Super Service Station and delivered fuel in the 1930s and 1940s. One of the drivers was Richard Jennings, the father of Alfred H. Jennings.
• In the 1990s, to better serve our customers, we began offering heating system service and installations in addition to fuel oil delivery.
• In 2006, we rebuilt our heating oil storage terminal on East Franklin Street, transforming it into environmentally safe, 220,000-gallon storage facility with an automatic additive injection system to ensure our customers received the highest quality heating oil.
• In 2008, we purchased Silk Oil Company, including a one-acre property in Gaylordsville, CT.
• In 2013, Jennings Oil began offering year-round comfort services when we launched our air conditioning services (sales, installation, maintenance and repairs).
• In 2015, we started the process of constructing a propane bulk plant on our property in Gaylordsville.
• In 2017, we completed the construction of the propane bulk plant and began propane delivery and equipment service and installations.

Propane

Home heating oil delivery

We use a sophisticated monitoring system to track your fuel usage and accurately predict your heating oil needs based on weather patterns. This allows us to schedule a home heating oil delivery based solely on when you need it. Automatic delivery can be set up over the phone and no contract is required!  If you are new to us, we can either use old statements from your previous heating oil supplier, or estimate your likely use based on our customers in your neighborhood. Instead of having to call us every time you need more heating oil, you don’t have to do a thing. We will simply come to your home and fill your tank automatically!  If you apply for and are accepted for credit payments, we can automatically deduct that payment from your account, so you do not need to be home.  For even more convenience, we recommend that you enroll in one of our affordable price protection plans, which will help you avoid unexpected fluctuations in the cost of your home heating oil.

OIL ADDITIVE

Inside every gallon of heating oil we sell is a little something extra that offers you big benefits.  At no extra charge, we treat your fuel with a heating oil additive called HeatDoc, which continuously cleans and stabilizes your fuel.
