Our History

Intricate was founded in 2006, and named after a beautiful spot in Newfoundland called Intricate Bay. Starting with only three employees, Intricate performed field services that were specific to electrical and instrumentation (E&I). Soon, Intricate diversified into other energy specific services and today, Intricate operates out of ten different field locations with our corporate headquarters located in downtown Calgary, Alberta, and our project-based headquarters located in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our company is ISO 9001 certified, strategically designed to provide sustained value along with a greater local presence to the clients we serve. At Intricate we maintain a strong focus on providing end-to-end solutions for the energy sector throughout North America.  Our language, culture, and inheritance is energy, and our ‘intricate’ knowledge of the energy industry allows us to better help our clients when it comes to giving their businesses the improvement strategies they need to make an impact in the industry, and in the market.
