We distribute electricity across Ontario to nearly 1.4 million predominantly rural customers, or approximately 26% of the total number of customers in Ontario. In November 2015, we became a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (H).

Over 110 Years of Powering Ontario

We're a new company but we have a long history in the electricity services industry. In fact, our history dates back over 110 years to 1906 when the Ontario Legislature passed the Power Commission Act establishing the then Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario (HEPC). Since then, we have worked to grow and evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers and communities across Ontario.
