HERMAN L. LOEB LLC is a family owned, privately held oil and gas exploration and production company that has been in business for over 70 years. Our head office is located in Lawrenceville, Illinois and our Exploration and Production Operations office is located in Plainfield, Illinois. We have two field offices; our IL Basin field office, located in Lawrenceville, and our Mid-Continent field office, located in Great Bend, Kansas. We currently operate over 1,000 wells and have non-operating interests in over 700 wells, across 13 states. We continuously search for opportunities to augment our portfolio, through investment in our existing assets, acquiring new assets and entering into new partnerships. Of great importance to us is being a good steward of the lands we operate, and fostering mutually respectful relationships with landowners, joint interest partners, regulators and our local communities. About Ian J. Webster

After leaving high-school, Ian began his career as a quantity surveying technician in the construction industry in Aberdeen, Scotland. After 4 years of attending day-release College, whilst working, and 3 years full-time at University, he attained his BSc in Quantity Surveying. Two years after that he was elected a Professional Associate of the RICS. He continued working as a project controls professional in the construction industry but then subsequently transitioned into working in the oil and gas industry. He has worked for numerous major oil and gas E&P companies, service companies and energy companies, in the U.K., Canada & U.S.A., including: Atlantic Power & Gas, AMEC Process & Energy, Conoco, Amoco/British Gas JV, Occidental, Shell, BP Sullom Voe Terminal, BP Chemicals (Canada), BP Pipelines & Logistics, Exelon and INEOS Bio, in the key functions of Contract Management, Claims Management, Cost Estimating, Cost Management, Planning & Scheduling, Risk Management and Auditing. Ian supplemented his industry work experience by enrolling in online landman training courses.  Ian has been the Land & Project Manager for Herman L. Loeb LLC since September 2012. He oversees the company’s GIS mapping program, land & legal records, leasing, permitting, and contracts, in addition to leading special projects.

About Dan McGrew

After attending SIUE, Dan managed several retail stores for P.N. Hirsch & Co. Returning to his roots in Flora, Illinois, Dan began his Oilfield career with Dowell Schlumberger in the office, equipment operator, Safety and Training, and Service Supervisor. Dan’s career later shifted from the service industry to Production, Drilling and Completions, Gas Processing, and Land work in Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, and Indiana. He has worked for Great Plains Resources, Inc., Farrar Oil Company, Continental Resources, Inc., and Countrymark Energy Resources, LLC. Dan is experienced in secondary recovery projects that are prevalent in the basin, as well as having strong familiarity with regulations and safety.  Based out of the Lawrenceville, IL field office, Dan has been Loeb’s Area Production Supervisor for Tri-States / IL Basin operations since January 2016, while also managing a team of company pumpers, contract pumpers, company well services personnel / rigs, and company oil field service personnel / roustabouts / technicians, located across South central Illinois, Kentucky and Western Indiana.

About Shane Pelton

After high school Shane went right into the work force driving semi-trucks for a local farmer. Shortly thereafter he started his own trucking and custom harvesting business. Shane got his start in the oilfield patch as a contract pumper in 1986, while continuing the operations of his trucking business. He ran the Hot Oil Service Company of his father’s for about a year, before turning it over to his older brother. Eventually Shane sold the trucking company and went full-time in the oil field as a contract pumper under his own pumping services business. He worked for several companies including: Anchor Bay, Anschutz Corporation, Dunne Equites, Herman L. Loeb LLC and Red Oak Energy, among others. Through the years he has learned a lot about down hole and above ground operations of all his leases, including the operations of multiple enhanced and secondary recovery projects.  Based out of the Great Bend, KS field office, Shane has been Loeb’s Area Production Supervisor for Mid-Continent operations since July 2011, while also managing a team of company pumpers, contract pumpers and company oil field service personnel / roustabouts, located throughout Kansas and Colorado.  In his personal time he enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 children & 11 grandchildren. Shane also enjoys taking cross country motorcycle trips and car collecting/restoration projects. From 2000-2008 he served on the Cheyenne County School Board the last 4 years as the President.
