Since 1927 when Hartzell first engineered the propeller fan, the Hartzell name has been synonymous with quality air moving equipment. The Hartzell Air Movement division first built heavy-duty industrial fans using an airfoil blade. Through the years, Hartzell has developed unique products using metal, fiberglass, and other materials that have led to Hartzell having one of the broadest lines in the air moving industry.
Hartzell Air Movement has enjoyed a significant growth during its 86 year of existence. At the present time, Hartzell operates a fabrication through final assembly facility in Piqua, Ohio. Hartzell also has a machine shop and foundry at the same premises to control all aspects of quality and production. In 2012 Hartzell made a significant capital expansion to support a new phase of larger products. In addition, Hartzell also manufactures fiberglass and rapid ship products in Portland, Indiana. In October of 2011, Hartzell opened a new manufacturing and sales office in Singapore to better support international customers and assist in the global expansion strategy. In 2012, Hartzell achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification which supports a high commitment to quality. Hartzell’s Piqua, Ohio plant achieved ABS Certification in 2013 as well.
Hartzell Air Movement produces industrial and general ventilation fans for five key markets which are heavy industry, water and wastewater, high technology/ semi-conductor (which now include fans up to 98"), marine, and power generation. Hartzell also manufactures specific fans for OEM accounts. Hartzell’s success starts with the sales and marketing team which supports customers domestically and internationally, as well as through OEM channels. The group manages 92 representatives which investigate, design, and support products in key markets.
