Harmon Racing Cells has been in business for over 20 years, with over 39 years of experience in designing and building custom fuel cells for the racing industry. Our mission is simple - to build the strongest, safest, best performing fuel bladders on the market, period!  This obsession translates into everything we do, from the materials we use to the final assembly of each custom fuel cell we make.  We make and build them as if they were going in our own buggy, truck or car.

"Jim, I need a favor...."

That's essentially how it all started. Prior to going into business for ourselves our founder, Jim Harmon, had spent the previous 20 years perfecting and teaching our process to a leading fuel cell manufacturer. When they relocated, however, we stayed put.  Jim, wanting to stick with his passion and utilize his knowledge, knew his future was still in the Fuel Cell business. He soon received dozens of calls from old friends asking if he could produce a quality fuel cell cheaply, quickly, and locally. Working nights out of our garage, we began to manufacture our first fuel cells in 1998 with nothing but our knowledge and a few basic garage tools.  Within years, business was booming!  Today, we're poised to overtake the competition by providing new designs, revolutionary hardware, competitive prices, and the strongest and longest-lasting fuel cells in the world.

What makes us different?

Everything. From the materials we use to our manufacturing process, everything about our company sets us apart. Our years of experience and mission to provide only the best products has exposed us to different types of materials for use in bladders, plates, and cans.  With this, we've been able to test and determine which are the best and that is why our products last, on average, 30-40% longer than comparable fuel cells. This dedication explains why our products can be found on almost every continent on the planet. In addition, we make designing fuel cells easier than ever, whether it's a one-off or production design, and further explains why more and more fabricators are choosing us over the competition.

There's dozens of reasons why our customers prefer us over other manufacturers and why we're the trusted source in fuel system safety.  Most can fall into 5 categories.

• Prices. Fuel safety is a serious issue and in most racing associations a fuel cell is mandatory; but this doesn't mean we're going to take advantage of that.  We know our product can be the defining factor between life or death and it's our mission to make our product affordable enough to get it into as many vehicles as possible.

• Quality. Our products are the toughest and longest lasting in the industry, period. When compared to FIA FT3-1999 specifications our cells are, on average, 2.9 times tougher than the mandated minimum! This dedication to quality gives our cells unparalleled durability when you need it most and unrivaled longevity to make sure you get the most years out of your fuel cell as possible.

• Warranty. Fuel cells are expensive, so it only makes sense that you should want to get the most out of it. That's why we back every one of our cells with an unmatched 7 year warranty, the only one of its kind in the world! This means that as long as you can legally race the cell it's covered by us.  After the first five years send it back to us, we'll re-inspect and re-certify it and send it back to you for another two years of racing.  We believe that as long as you can race it, it should be covered.

• Maintenance. We believe that when you buy one of our products you shouldn't have to buy anything else for the remainder of its life and so we offer free maintenance throughout the warranty period.

• Customer Service.  We don't have salesmen here, we just have experts. When you contact us by phone, email, or simply stop by the shop you talk with an expert who provides you with the knowledge you need that's best for your cell and your wallet. In addition, our turnaround time is roughly half of our competitors, with delivery times for standard designs (not already in stock) in 2-7 days and custom designs is about 2-3 weeks.
