The Green Homes Grant launched on the 30th September. It is a government-funded voucher scheme designed to help with the installation of energy efficiency measures on homes in England to reduce energy bills and carbon emissions.
The voucher of up to £5,000 will cover up to two thirds of the cost of some energy-saving home improvements. Some homeowners on qualifying benefits can get a voucher for up to £10,000 towards the cost of these home improvements.
The technologies that we install under the Green Homes Grant are Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal. To be eligible for a voucher, the low carbon heating must be installed by an MCS certified Contractor who is also TrustMark approved such as ourselves.The launch of this generous offer has, not surprisingly, generated a large increase in enquiries.
