GulfTex Energy has been a leader in oil and natural gas exploration, production, and development for more than 10 years. A recognized first-mover, GulfTex has a proven track record of identifying opportunity, executing successful drilling and completions programs, and creating value.  Based in San Antonio, GulfTex has operated in the Midland Basin and the Eagle Ford Shale since 2006. Over the life of the company, GulfTex has leased more than 30,000 net acres and drilled and completed more than 40 horizontal wells, with four more in this years D&C campaign. Additionally, the company has drilled two saltwater disposal wells. The GulfTex leadership team has more than 130 years of collective experience in resource plays across the nation, a strong technical focus, and a profound understanding of operational efficiencies.  GulfTex is currently focused in the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk in South Texas, the Midland and Delaware basins in West Texas, and southern New Mexico and the SCOOP and STACK in Oklahoma.

Performance-Driven Results

  GulfTexs operations are currently focused in the Austin Chalk and Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas. The company is also actively working in the Midland and Delaware basins in West Texas and southern New Mexico, and the SCOOP and STACK play in Oklahoma.  Currently, GulfTex has 14,000 gross / 12,000 net acres leased in the Austin Chalk and Eagle Ford. The company has approximately 30 producing oil and gas wells in this area with more than 200 proved locations to develop.
