When used for thermal enhanced oil recovery (EOR), GlassPoint solar steam generators can reduce an oilfield’s gas consumption and carbon emissions by up to 80%. The gas saved can be redirected towards the export market or other high value uses, such as industrial development and electricity generation. By saving valuable gas resources, our solar oilfield projects can help transform the local economies where we operate.
