g2 Energy are a Lloyds registered, NERs accredited, Independent Connection Provider (ICP) and can provide Contestable works up to and including 132kV.

To date, g2 Energy have successfully connected in excess of 401 MegaWatts (MW) of renewable energy to the grid, with a further 763MW due be to connected by mid 2015.

g2 Energy Renewable Developments

In 2013 g2 Energy Renewable Developments have secured planning consent for 4 separate single 500kW wind turbines located in Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfill and the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. This is a 100% success rate for planning submissions determined in 2013.

Each 77 metre tall wind turbine is capable of generating 0.5 megawatts of electricity – each one powering the equivalent of around 500 homes and displacing over 500 tonnes of C02 every year for 25 years.

g2 Energy Renewable Developments will build out and commission all four sites during 2014.

We are actively seeking suitable Wind Turbine and Solar park sites across the UK for development.

Utilising the experience of g2 Energy, we can identify, acquire, design and build a complete project, from initial feasibility, through planning, installation and connection onto the national grid; therefore offering clients and investors a full turnkey solution, reducing risk and ensuring efficient return on investment.

Our services include (but are not limited to):

Site Acquisition:
Providing site technical, environmental and political screening, plus viability evaluation.

Planning Submission:
Preparation, submission and support of planning applications including Planning Authority liaison and community engagement.

Planning Permission:
Obtain acceptable planning consent.

Full Design Works:
In-house design department who can carry out all Civil and Electrical design works associated with the project, including establishing a suitable Point of Connection.

Project Management:
Full Project Management services throughout the full construction of the project.

Infrastructure Construction:
Construction of Wind Turbine Foundations, combined DNO and client side substations, Wind Turbine erection, commissioning and Ofgem FIT registration.

Operational Management:
Full management services for the operational Turbine, throughout its lifetime.

Landowners can benefit from a substantial ongoing income with no outgoings by leasing land for development, typically for a 20 year duration.

Investors can benefit from good returns backed by Government ‘feed in tariffs’ introduced in April 2010 and guaranteed for the next 20 years.
