The Francis name is a trusted name in energy. Sam Miller founded Francis Oil & Gas in 1934, naming the organization after his beloved wife, Francis. The organization continues to thrive almost 90 years later, forging a legacy committed to developing relationships, communities, economies, and lasting energy assets.  As the great-grandson of Sam Miller, David Jankowsky knows energy. Following seven years as an energy lawyer, six years as vice president at the world's largest solar energy developer, and in the pioneering spirit of his family, David returned home to Tulsa in 2015 with the resolve of starting Francis Renewable Energy (FRE) in an otherwise abandoned solar market - the great frontier of Oklahoma.  Francis' core mission is enabling customers to lower their energy bills as well as their carbon footprint. Through the use of technologies such as solar and battery storage coupled with demand reduction technologies such as geothermal and off-grid solutions, Francis offers proven and unique ways to reduce utility bills or completely eliminate them.
