Ford Fuels started life as G H Ford & Sons which began with George Ford borrowing £25 before the Second World War. George invested in a horse and cart, delivering milk & coal to homes in the local area south of Bath. By the end of the 1960’s, sons Jack and Alan were bringing coal to the west from Wales and the Midlands in 12 bulk tipper trucks. They were also starting to see an opportunity for Ford in oil.
