Renewable electricity has a long history, and for many years the technology was out of reach to most of us. Back in 2002 when we started the non-profit Seventh Generation Energy Systems, renewable energy was still very new and unknown to most.  We focused on building small systems to demonstrate electricity generation at homes and businesses.  We were growing with Wisconsins nationally recognized energy efficiency and renewable initiatives. By the time Ethos Green Power began in 2013, the landscape had changed dramatically.  Wisconsin had lost its place as a leader in renewable energy, surpassed by Minnesota and Illinois, while Iowa had become one of the leading wind generators in the country.  Its high time Wisconsin joins our neighbors to reaffirm our commitment to common sense energy policy that encourages a shift to a cleaner more cost effective system.  ​  Our mission today is to provide quality renewable energy services to the rural areas surrounding Viroqua, WI.  Ethos demonstrates how we will create new jobs for our young people, stabilize the cost of electricity, and move away from our dependence on costly fossil fuels.  ​  As of 2019 we have more than 800 kW (2400 solar panels) operating in our network of customers. 

Why Solar?

Here at Ethos Green Power we believe solar power is a critical component of our energy future.  Solar electricity generation is free from carbon and other toxic emissions, and we can make it where we use it.  Whats more is we can own it ourselves - generating our own power with solar technology.  As of 2019, solar panel prices have become highly affordable, incentives are widely available, and efficiencies are consistently trending upwards.
